About Tim Cain
A Fellow of The Institute of Leadership and Management (FInstLM) and member of the International Leadership Association, I’m a Leadership Professional, and Leadership Mentor. I have a rare combination of applied and theoretical leadership expertise. I am no stranger to leadership ‘on the edge’, having served as a professional infantry officer for 28 years and 14 years in a mountain rescue team. My specialisation has been, and still is, innovative training and authentic leadership. I was appointed MBE for work in this field in 2005. I have built upon my practical experience through continued personal development, leading to my successfully completing an MPhil in Transformational Leadership and high performance in 2010. Since starting TimCainLeadership in 2012 I have worked in all three sectors to support the development of authentic leadership, see my LinkedIn profile for recommendations.
I’m well versed in behavioural science and have an in depth understanding of the relationship between leadership, values, motivation, teamwork and performance. I led the Values Based transformation of training culture within the British Army’s individual training organisation based on authentic leadership, positive psychology, learner ownership and role modelling of high performance values based behaviour. I am qualified and experienced in the implementation and management of coaching and mentoring culture both at all levels of an organisation. I offer the ability to enhance your leadership strategy at a time when leading and motivating people is the key to innovative success and satisfaction.
